Are you receiving alerts to update or switch to a compatible browser?
Earlier this month, Microsoft announced its plans to permanently end support on their Windows 10 browser, Edge Legacy, on April 13, 2021.
In Microsoft’s monthly security update, Edge Legacy will be automatically replaced with a new and improved version – Microsoft Edge. Chromium-based, the new Edge will be a more secure and high-performance browser, compatible with all supported versions of Windows and even macOS.
Legacy settings will carry over to the new version along with the update. If Edge Legacy is docked inside of your taskbar or sits on your desktop, there you will find the new Edge. If you use a third-party browser such as Chrome or Firefox, this change won’t affect your daily routine whatsoever.
With Vision Computer Solutions as your Microsoft partner, you’ll see these updates take effect Thursday morning, on “patch day.” We automatically install any updates and reboot your computers between 2-4AM so you don’t have to worry about doing so.
