What Do You Do Here At Vision?

“I’ve worked on the service desk for almost 4 years. I assist clients directly with any technical issues they are having. I’m currently transitioning into a NOC role where I’ll be doing more behind the scenes things like network/server monitoring, patch management, security audits, etc.”

Describe Vision In Three Words.

“Fun, Challenging, Rewarding.”

As A Kid, What Did You Want To Be When You Grew Up?

“Hockey Player”

What Is The Most Challenging Thing About Your Job?

“As a tech I think providing support over the phone is the most challenging, especially if a remote control session isn’t available. You have to realize the person requesting support doesn’t always know what information is relevant when reporting an issue. It’s your job to listen first and then ask the right questions in order get the information you need so you can resolve their issue as quickly as possible.”

What Is Your Greatest Achievement?

“Completing my MBA or landing my first IT job in Washington D.C.”

What Do You Think Is The Most Important Quality Necessary For Success?

“Self Awareness. Most of our decisions are driven by habits. Keep your good habits and get rid of the bad ones.”

What Do You Like Most About Vision?

“The people I work with and the ping pong table in our office.”

What Do You Like To Do In Your Spare Time?

“I like to stay active. I play in a year round hockey league with my brother and go to the gym everyday after work. I’m still trying to figure out if I actually enjoy cooking or if I just enjoy the feeling of eating healthy and saving money. On the weekends I enjoy visiting the Port Huron area to see my mom and friends from high school.”

What’s Your Top Life Hack/Advice?

“If you’re driving and its snowing, turn your brights on. Suddenly it will feel as if you are piloting the Millennium Falcon and just made the jump to light speed.”
